Menhir - Standing Candle holder

A standing candle holder made with an interior of melted recycled glass & sea glass, a rich mix of amber browns, bottle greens and small patches of frosted glass or bubbles frozen in the kiln from the interaction between materials. When lit by a candle this interior reflects light and illuminates the room, the interior shape of the candleholder, and the surface it rests on. Sit the Menhir on a bookshelf or a table as an evening companion.

The Menhir Standing Candle is a functional piece of art intended to act as both a source of lighting, and a mirror. Made for an intentional evening to add atmosphere and warmth into a home. A tabletop cousin of the Shell Sconce.

Specifications:

• Size: 15cm tall x 11cm wide, 5cm deep.

• Each sconce has a different glass melting pattern, so colours may vary.

• Glazed with Slate and Ash glaze, and Walnut Tenmoku.

• Some recycled glass supplied by Georgie and Cam at Ripe Cider, and sea glass collected from walking the beaches of the South Coast of Cornwall.
