Leat, the lamp of November

DETAILS:

A leat is an artificial water trench, that usually conducts water towards a mill. This lamp is an experiment to see how viscous melted glass gets in the kiln, and if I could get the glass to flow down the channel I carved in the lamp base. The glass is lit up by the light above. A handsome lamp.

The base is made from Pink Grogged Clay, glazed with Iron Oxide slip and melted Sea Glass.

  • Wired with electric components that have not been tested and tagged. Standard UK socket.  Please note: This piece will be tested and tagged upon sale.

  • Electric fired.

  • E27 light fixture
