Cup Ring - Ikebana Basin

£36.00
Sold Out

Fill these with water, and place the flowers in the kenzan/frog in the middle, or float blossoms directly on the waters surface.

Suiban, which translates to "water basin," is a shallow, flat container that plays a unique role in ikebana. Instead of holding water directly, it is typically used in combination with a kenzan to secure the stems. Inspired by Cecile Daladier’s Suiban Basins, I had a go at making my own.

Specifications:

  • Cup Lichen is glazed with walnut ash Tenmoku, and Mora Farm ash inside.

  • Size: 5 cm height x 13 cm widest x 14 cm length.

  • Electric Fired.

Please note: This item will be shipped after the 20th of September, once the candle exhibition has closed. Thank you.
