Green Alkanet- Kenzan Ikebana

£16.00
Sold Out

A small wheel-thrown ikebana. A Suiban shape, with a kenzan or ‘frog’ in the base. This shape can handle height, provided you fill it with water, so have fun with your floral arrangements.

From the Floral Society: Suiban, which translates to "water basin," is a shallow, flat container that plays a unique role in ikebana. Instead of holding the stems directly, it is typically used in combination with a kenzan (a metal flower frog) to secure the stems. Suiban vases are often used for the "Moribana" style of ikebana, which emphasises the harmony between the natural elements, such as water, land, and plants.

Specifications:

  • Green Alkanet is glazed with Mora Farm clear crackle ash on the inside, white Shino and SCB Celadon outside. The Kenzan is glazed with Milk Chocolate.

  • Size: 7cm height x 6cm widest x 6cm length.

  • Electric Fired.

Please note: This item will be shipped after the 20th of September, once the candle exhibition has closed. Thank you.
